In Jeremiah 15:19 (Amplified Bible) God tells Jeremiah that he will receive a blessing if he gives up his “mistaken tone of distrust and despair”.  That’s enough to tell me that despair is a mistake.

The reason Jesus came in the flesh was to “undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].”  1 John 3:8

God is at work in us and for us.

Philippians 2:13 It is God who moves in you to will and to act according to His good purpose – my paraphrase.

Romans 8:28 God works everything out for the good of those who love Him and who are called, according to His purpose and design – my paraphrase.

We are safe in His hands.  Hebrews 13:5

If God is for us, who can be against us?  My paraphrase of Romans 8:31.

This does not mean that life on earth will be on rosy.  Rather, some of us may be destitute while others lead kingdoms.  Hebrews 11.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith and press on to the goal – being with Him in glory – my paraphrase.  2 Corinthians 4:18 , Philippians 3:14 .

Not that I have yet attained all this either, Philippians 3:12.
