I’m in Job 9 now.  In verse 33 (AMP) Job says that there is no “umpire between us [that is between Job & God or man & God] who might lay his hand upon us both” but the footnotes point to 1 Timothy 2:5 where Paul tells Timothy that Christ is the “Mediator” between us.  It dawns on me that Christ Jesus can lay his hand upon God in order to apprehend Him!  In learning, reading or learning [it’s been a few years] is called apprendar (sp?) and has the same root word as apprehend – to catch hold of and arrest.

Christ can and does arrest God in His anger against sinful man.  By His willing death and resurrection Christ has satisfied the wrath of God…Romans 1:18; Romans 3:24-26; Romans 5:9.

That is cause for rejoicing!
